im2kool4u17 ::: Favorites  2007-01-01 22:48:06 nice, i have that same guitar.how long have you been playing? i dont have an opinion on the sound of EMGs though as ive only played with them once. i didnt really hear anything significantly different but make sure you try them yourself. and i also think they would look awkward in a c-1 classic. __________________________________________________

guitarman666 ::: Favorites  2007-03-21 17:27:02 EMG's are good. the 81 is tight and punchy and the 85 kinda sucks. i prefer the 89. It has a coil-tap option, which is impossible with other EMG's. It also is fat and warm like the 85, but has a clean tone that is 1000% better. that is my favorite humbucker-humbucker combination for EMG's. __________________________________________________
