There's only a big parking lot outside my window now... but there used to be a beautiful field, with a hundred-year-old tree, and hens, and green grass, before they did what they did. This Joni Mitchell song is one of my all-time favourites -- and its cover by Moya/Maire Brennan is just lovely. Oh, and I don't like the Counting Crows' version. And I proudly love hugging trees.
