Description: The Luxor Massacre was carried out by "The Islamic Group" whose goal was the creation of an Islamic State of Egypt. The original members of the Group were students. It began on college campuses in Egypt. In order to destabilize the secular Egyptian government of Anwar Sadat, they targeted INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS in Egypt. (Egypt's economy is dependant on tourism.) They did not target Americans. Later, however, the Group's leader happened to move to New York City. There he took charge of a mosque which happened to have a clear view of a well-known New York landmark! |

| kontrariankid ::: Favorites Kerry, Bush and many other politicians take a sinister oath to secret societies. They are "brothers" in a "brotherhood" that most fail to believe exists. Rep, Dems.. no difference.. it's all a trick. Secret societies and bankers run our government and they don't like it when people mention the words "Skull & Bones"! This is the real reason Andrew Meyer's mike was cut off at UF! | shaunak84 ::: Favorites People go apeshit in America (Colombine, VT, etc) even with such a pleasant standard of living - what do you think that shithole breeds as far as hate and want for revenge? 07-08-13 21:26:03 __________________________________________________ | |
| shaunak84 ::: Favorites that "shithole" being the Middle East. 07-08-13 21:26:50 __________________________________________________ | |
| opchidexio ::: Favorites Yeah. I think the potential for violence and hatred is simply part of our human makeup. Some are more prone to violence than others. In addition to that, all of us can be PUSHED under certain conditions to lash out. 07-08-14 01:36:10 __________________________________________________ | |
| shaunak84 ::: Favorites blowback is a small part of that though opchidexio. Some of that "want for revenge" is specifically caused by the US. Proof? Look at all of the condemnations of the US and its actions. (Osama's Fatwah for one). India, Pakistan, Britain, France, Germany, Canada - all denounce us as well, if not less violently... because we're not fucking with their shit) 07-08-14 13:54:12 __________________________________________________ | |
| opchidexio ::: Favorites Saying that Henry Ford did business in Germany is like saying Sam Walton's WalMart (HQed in Little Rock, Arkansas and governed by boardmember Hillary Clinton) does business with China. So what? "You don't blow up counties and put sanctions on them"? Why not? Thanks for calling me a goon, btw. I like that. I'm only 5 ft 6. "Goon." I like that. 07-08-13 13:35:34 __________________________________________________ | |
| patrickmch ::: Favorites they dont care who or why,they just want to kill anyone that doesnt agree with them ,they kill more muslims than westerner but I guess they dont count. 07-08-13 11:46:45 __________________________________________________ | |
| opchidexio ::: Favorites Most Americans CAN NOT RELATE to their feeling of hopelessness, in my opinion. They often resort to violence, I think, because they have almost NO VOICE, or influence, in their governments. I would hate being in such a situation myself. Comments? 07-08-13 13:58:45 __________________________________________________ | |
| DanielMurphy007 ::: Favorites So, when foreign powers sipported Sadat, who the people hated, some egyptians killed some foreigners. How is that not an example of blowback? Alos, not every arab/muslim with a gun is a "terrorist." Most of the people in Iraq fighting our troops aren't terrorists. 07-08-13 11:23:35 __________________________________________________ | |
| opchidexio ::: Favorites Remember the "American War of Independence"? Most of the colonial "rebels" who murdered British soldiers in the 1770's were considered terrorists BY THE KING OF ENGLAND. But "most of the people in Iraq fighting our troops aren't terrorists"? One's sympathies are revealed by one's choice of words. (Of course.) 07-08-13 13:51:18 __________________________________________________ | |
