Many a time passed when, unguided and on my own, I thought I had opened Pandora's Box for real and had not only destabilized myself but had lost what sanity I had for good. Sometimes it can be like being caught in a storm from inside. You can't find a center and you can't get out of it. In this work you will relive your darkest moments and come face to face with yourself on your deepest held convictions and programming. You may seem to go backwards even for a time. Sometimes we hold on tightly to the deepest darkest traumas inside us. We hold onto our memories and pain for dear life. We get used to them being there. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is wrap your mind around the idea that you could ever be free of the effects of some experiences. All too often we hear someone say, "There can never be closure, this will effect me for the rest of my life!, I will never get over it" Well, I beg to differ. The more attached our identity is to any one trigger the more painful it will be to exorcise it permanently but it is doable if you want it bad enough. My intent is not to scare you off meditation, but to give you an idea of how powerful it can be. You have to be ready to open yourself up emotionally and mentally and do that kind surgery on your inner cancers. You need inner resolve and strength. You gain this energy from concentrated centering and dissolving. Over years I refined the dissolving process and learned how to go about it without unraveling every time. The goal is to free ourselves of aberrant thinking patterns anyway we can. This is a confrontational method sometimes. You have to shake yourself up and wake yourself up. We want to examine and dissolve unnecessary attachments, aversions, memories, triggers, obsessions, inner compulsions and agendas. As you do this sometimes you will experience a Dark Night of the Soul. On those nights you will question your entire reason for being. You may think you suffer from every mental illness in the DSM. If you pull through it, you will be stronger and truly more capable. You will be closer to the real you. You will be one step closer to stillness. I suggest you take some time to practice a little centering before moving into dissolving emotional triggers. The triggers I was able to release and resolve include all of my post traumatic stress disorder symptoms. That means all of the abuse triggers. I got rid of flashbacks and erratic dream cycles. I resolved most my 'hair triggers' and buttons. The very act of permanently freeing your mind or emotions from a constant cycle of brooding and echos you just feel better. You gain both a small peace and an increase in your awareness and energy. Imagine what you could achieve if you focused all you have on being continuously mindful of every thought and feeling every second. That is meditation.
